Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures Heavy Equipment Operator Position

Who we are.

Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures is a proud Indigenous owned and operated construction company based within Shxw’ōwhámél First Nation traditional territory in Hope, BC. We work on various projects including with our industry leading partners, to deliver high-quality construction services throughout the Fraser Valley and beyond.

The opportunity

Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures is looking for great candidates to join our team in a Heavy Equipment Operator position. This is a senior position within our construction crew, reporting to the foreman but able to give direction to other crew members. We will also be continuously investing in your training, skills development, and mentorship. Do you think you lead a crew? Move up to Foreman one day? The opportunity will be there for you with Shxw’ōwhámél Ventures as you gain valuable experience within your role.

Our Heavy Equipment Operators perform work outside in all weather conditions, rain or shine. Some examples of what we will expect you can do on your dozer, excavator, grader or other heavy equipment: clearing Right of Way, site preparation, locating underground utilities, hand excavation, general pipeline construction activities, site clean-up and restoration, operating hand tools including chainsaws, and fueling equipment. Of course, there will be other miscellaneous work for you to do as well—but we will ensure you are trained and certified to do each job safely and provide you with the tools to do so.

But two things we can guarantee: you won’t be bored, and you will be a part of great crew that works hard and does great work. Ventures offers competitive rates of pay, and a great benefits program for our full-time employees.
